A hearty thank you to friends and volunteers from Lake Harriet!!
LHEC's June 2024 Lake Harriet cleanup removed six large bags of trash from the lake. Volunteers removed shoes, sports equipment, bottles, lots of bottle caps, ugh-diapers, Band-Aids, and other "treasures."
It is heartening to see the community pitch in to make light work for us all. We had people of all ages from 70+ year olds to toddlers learning the joy of contributing.
We will do this again in July. Watch for an announcement.
